August, you’ve got me loving

Coucou Montreal!

How was your July?

I had the chance to travel most of the month. I wish I had an easiness with words : I would love to be able to describe the buttery of my croissants, the joy that I found in smelling great coffee, the taste of the Albanian raki, the way the salty waters created a filigram all over my skin, the laughs I shared with the magnificent people I've got to meet... It was an amazing experience. The travel bug got me. Bad.

Montreal will be lucky to have me from August 1st to the 8th. And after the 23rd. Very limited availability for this month indeed : reaching out fast would be ideal.

Alsooo... I'm never going to claim a birthday month but it is, indeed, my birthday. If you'd like to plan something to celebrate it, I'd be super thankful. You can also find my wishlist easily.

In the meantime, here's some activity I have on my mind to make our time extraordinary.

Nothing better for the mental health than exteriorising some feelings... It has been a while I am thinking visiting a Rage Room would be incredibly funny. Not familiar with the concept?  Simple concept : smashing breakable items and electronics with your choice of weapon — hammers, golf clubs, bats, crowbars and more. If you ask me, it sounds like the perfect opportunity to have fun, de-stress, and blow off steam.

From August 27 to October 13, Montreal is the host of the World Press Photo. This is the city’s biggest photography festival, like a giant exhibition of all the best international photos of the year. Let's make it a date?

For my queer lovers, the Festival des Fiertés is happening in the Village from July 31 to August 10. Lots of events, parties, plays, workshops... A good time to remind everyone I offer a special discount for women, trans and gender queer clients.

If you know me, you are aware that I love to spend time outdoors. You can take the babe out of the countryside but can't take the countryside out of her. I have a few ideas for escapades for longer dates. Otherwise, I would love to visit the botanical garden. I'm also super in for a quick park afternoon. A crispy wine. Some baguette. Shared kisses?

In terms of restaurant and buvettes, here's a few places I would love to visit.

Buvette Pastek (Old Montreal) : charcuterie platters, elaborate dishes, laid back vibes.

Bon Délire (Saint-Henri) : quirky colorful aesthetic, ideal for a pool game and creative drinks.

Le Violon (Le Plateau) : if it's good enough for Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry, it's good enough for us. Fresh local products and seafood.

Parapluie (Petite-Italie) : Unpretentious ambiance and fresh produce. I need it?

Of course, all those ideas are absolutely a possibility for September, October, and later.

Happy August, enjoy!
